The file is analysed in your browser and never uploaded. The decoder finds the strongest tone, measures each beep and gap, and works out the speed by itself. Clean recordings at a steady speed decode best; heavy noise, fading or hand-sent code with uneven timing will produce errors.

What the options do

Speed and Farnsworth spacing

Speed uses the PARIS standard: one word is 50 units, so at 20 WPM a dot lasts 60 ms and a dash 180 ms. Farnsworth spacing keeps letters at full speed and stretches only the gaps between them. Learners use it to hear each letter as a single sound instead of counting dots.

Decoding a recording

Upload a clip from a video, a radio recording or a puzzle file. The decoder picks out the strongest tone, separates beeps from silence, and groups the lengths into dots, dashes, letter gaps and word gaps. It reports the tone and speed it found so you can check the result.

Jewelry, engraving and tattoos

Export the message as a vector file with true proportions, choose round dots, rounded bars or square marks, and get a bead count for a bracelet: how many dot beads, dash beads and spacers to buy, letter by letter.

Light and vibration

The light panel flashes in sync with the sound and can fill the screen, so a phone works as a signal lamp. On Android browsers the phone can vibrate the message too.
